Priced at AUD$10,000, is this the ultimate Barossa wine for the person who has everything?
Ultra premium wines in the Barossa include Torbreck’s The Laird, Hentschke’s Hill of Grace and Penfold’s Grange. Of course our neighbour Seppeltsfield Wines also have their 100 year old Para dating back to 1878.

But now, after more than two years of creative planning, there is the recently released Seppeltsfield Decanter designed by Lalique.

With only 150 available globally and its price tag, it could be the ultimate gift for that special person in your life! Handcrafted in Alsace (France) and the Barossa Valley, The Seppeltsfield Decanter is filled with an especially created 100 year old blended Tawny Port, containing vintages as far back as 1886 from their historic Centennial Collection holdings.

The special thing for us at Seize the Day Wines, is that the artisan who designed and individually crafts each superb wooden case (as pictured) housing this superb Lalique crystal decanter, is a Barossa local named Andy Pywell.

Andy handmade most of the furniture in Seppeltsfield Vineyard Cottage, guest accommodation located next to our Seize the Day vineyard here in Seppeltsfield, using techniques and designs sourced from books about early Barossa craftsmen. Some of Andy’s work in the cottage includes the lounge cabinet which hides modern life necessities such as the LED TV and Bose entertainment system, the kitchen armoire and the granite topped vanity in the bathroom.

Andy – we’re proud of you and delighted we have such wonderful pieces of your work at our place in Seppeltsfield!
