Summer is on its way and a Seize the Day fan (my daughter Anna actually!) shared this video with us. We thought it was too good not to pass on to our Rosé fans. Peter isn’t so sure, being the purist, but I’m up for anything cold, tasty (slighty alcoholic!) and thirst quenching on the patio or by the pool on a warm summers day or evening.
Whirred from a combination of strawberries, wine, and grenadine—and fortified by a shot of vodka—this pretty, pink treat is one part adult slushie, one part sangria, and absolutely, totally delicious.

You have to admit, Seize the Day Frosé (= Frozen Rosé) has an alluring ring to it, especially for the girls. Having said that, I bet there will be a few guys who can’t resist a taste – and I know Pete will be one of them, although he would never admit it!!

Recipe below….chin-chin!

Here’s the recipe:

1 (750 ml.) bottle of Seize the Day rosé
2 cups strawberries, sliced, plus more for garnish (optional)
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
¼ cup vodka
2 tablespoons grenadine

1. Pour the rosé into ice cube trays and freeze until solid, 8 hours or overnight.
2. Combine the strawberries and the sugar in the bowl of a blender and let sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes, until the berries begin to release their juices.
3. Add the vodka, grenadine, and rosé cubes. Blend the mixture on high until smooth. Pour into glasses and garnish with strawberries, if desired.
